Dr. Taimoor Saleem is a small animal and wildlife veterinarian with extensive experience in medical care, management, and conservation. He is passionate about serving animals and is committed to making a difference in society by working for the voiceless in every possible manner. Dr. Saleem has excellent diagnostic skills and can implement effective treatment plans for quick clinical recoveries. He is also skilled in various surgeries, such as laparotomy techniques, crop repair, gastrotomy, C-sections, spaying, and neutering.

Saleem completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Riphah College of Veterinary Sciences, Lahore, in 2017. He pursued a Master of Philosophy in Clinical Medicine & Surgery from the University of Veterinary Animal Science, Lahore, from 2018 to 2020. His master’s thesis was on the Comparative Evaluation of Gastrotomy Closure by Utrecht and Lambert Suture Pattern.

Since graduating, Saleem has held various positions and currently serves as a physician and surgeon at the Royal Pet Veterinary Clinic in Jeddah. His duties include examining, diagnosing, and treating pets, exotic animals, and birds, administering immunizations and parasitic control; performing soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries on small animals, and spaying and neutering stray and pet animals. Saleem also supervises staff in the spay and neuter area of care, provides follow-up care to hospitalized patients, performs laboratory work using Idexx and Abaxis machinery, administers laser therapy for wound healing and pain relief, and utilizes digital x-ray and Ultrasonography for diagnoses related to soft organs and reproduction.

Previously, Saleem worked as a physician and surgeon at The Vets Animal Hospital from September 2017 to December 2023, where he was responsible for examining, diagnosing diseases, and treating pets, exotic animals, and birds, conducting immunizations and parasitic control, managing and providing medical services for the wildlife farm, performing different soft tissue surgeries in pets, exotic animals, and birds, spaying and neutering surgeries in stray and pet animals, supervising staff in the spay and neuter area of care, providing follow-up and post-operative care to hospitalized patients, preparing and maintaining reports and records on rabies, immunization, and treatments, providing services to different animal rescue organizations for treatment, surgeries, rescue, shelter, awareness camps, and medical camps for animals in different areas, maintaining a strong relationship with patients by conducting personal follow-up reviews, maintaining records and support for administrative staff, and managing the sales, purchase, and marketing of the hospital.

From June 2017 to August 2018, he served as a physician and surgeon at Pet Pulse Animal Hospital in Bahria Town. His duties included examining, diagnosing, and treating pets, exotic animals, and birds, administering vaccinations and deworming protocols; managing medical services for the kennel; performing various surgeries on pets, exotic animals, and birds, as well as spaying and neutering surgeries on stray and pet animals.
